How to Mow a Lawn with a Push Mower

Just the mowing work won’t make your lawn look good. Instead, you must focus on the frequency of the machine and also on how much amount of the grass is being cut by the mower. All these points considered together will give you the right results.

How to Mow a Lawn with a Push Mower

Follow the procedure given below for Mowing your lawn in the correct manner:

  1. The first step will be to get one lawn-mower. Get the best-in-budget system, and learn how to operate the unit. All the lawn-mowers have got their separate working styles. So read the manual carefully, and perform accordingly.
  2. If you have got the gasoline powered lawn mower, you need to add gas and oil in the particular receptacle. It is recommended to use one air filter for this purpose; it will help in removing all the debris. Also, make it a point to clean or replace the filter if there is the need.
  3. We already know the mower may get stuck because of some stick or branch. In that case, you can clean the lawn before beginning with the mowing task. This also helps in maintaining the lawn mower and retain the quality of the blades as well.
  4. Now we can begin with running the mower. For gasoline-powered mowers, you need to pull the cord present on it. For those who have the normal push mower, just start pushing the unit by the handle. The spin motion will begin the cutting process.
  5. You need to trim the edges of the lawn before starting the lawn mowing task. For this trimming work, you will require one equipment like the Whipper Snipper. After you do this, one boundary will be set, and you just have to move the mower within this space. Thus making it easy for you; otherwise, you will get all the grass stuck on the mower, which is not the right way of mowing.
  6. Choose one pattern in which you would like to mow the lawn. It can be either in rows or columns, so if you are opting for the rows, mow from one end to the other end. Then rotate the unit, and mow the next row. Do not leave out any part of the grass.
  7. To go through a straight line, you can make use of a wheel and take it on the other end. Then try to mow on the path formed on the grass. After you reach the end of the lawn, move the mower on the next beside the previous line. This way you can rightly get the uncut grasses, and that too in one straight path.
  8. Next step is to check for any missed out spots. If you find any part of the grass, mow out that part again.
  9. That’s it! Turn the mower system off, and place it back in the storage area after cleaning it off rightly.

So this is the complete process in which you can do the mowing task using the Lawn Mower. Repeat the steps as per the requirement. You can even take professional help if you are still unsure of the Mowing procedure.
